A Big Milestone: Antigua

We’ve made it…we’re here! It is hard to believe that after almost 6 months of cruising in the Bahamas and the Caribbean, we have arrived at the place that we have been preparing for for so long. We are in Antigua and will spend the next couple of weeks getting the boat and ourselves ready for the first leg of our passage which leaves on May 10 from Jolly Harbor enroute to Bermuda. The trip should take us just under a week to complete, provided that the winds are in our favor. This will be our longest passage to date. Our being here happens to coincide with Antigua Race Week so there is an air of excitement everywhere. We’ll stay in this harbor and enjoy the festivities for a few days before moving on to Jolly Harbor where the real work will begin.
David got some great photos of the Classics race. Enjoy!
